The Heart Festival

The Highland Park Arts Commission showed up in force! Scott Brustein, Jennifer Evans & family, Sonya Elefante & John Marron came to party, dance, network, eat melon, hydrate, demo Japanese Ink ptg ( sumi-e), do livesrteam interviews, share info on our Leni Lenape & Charles Figg Art Benches, murals, Window Art Walk Sat Sept 25th 3-5pm reception at Pino’s 5:30, Windows of Understanding partnership with NB Cultural Center, Metuchen Arts Council, RU Mason Gross Grad Art Department and other Middlesex County Service Organizations.

Wind flipped our tent, lantern bugs everywhere, saw great dane do legitimate yoga poses with Marcus Pabelbon of “ Garden of Healing” and there were Salsa lessons galore! There was even some bubble-blowing!

Other activities included Live Art Battles at Above Art Gallery with Dante Muse, drum circles and Human suze checkerboards!

Spare changers hit the jackpot of generosity Children & teens laughing, dancing, mugging, eating & playing all day!!!

Big, big thanks to Tracey O’Reggio, Sarah Ferreira & Kelly Blythe who organized diverse sponsors, hundreds of people, glorious chaos, an amazing array of performers all day, livestream interviews, & timely competent swat teams of helpers to set up & break down & break through!

Sharon Gordon’s mc’ing was inspired, hilarious & spot on!
